Sunset for Pledge Cards…

March 28, 2010

The designers of the Labour Pledge Cards are obviously Opposition supporters. Rather than being a sunrise, the stock photo, which they’ve cropped and flipped, is clearly labeled “sunset.”

My own little part in the Iranian protests…

June 19, 2009

As I was doing research for tomorrow’s Times cartoon, I stumbled across something peculiar on the SKY News website. In their picture gallery from Tehran, was a rather familiar image of Ahmadinejad as a sinister clown on top of the words “DOWN WITH DICTATOR”…

Tehran Protest Poster

I did the picture for this blog back in 2007.

My first thought was that the image on the blog was only 445 pixels wide (72 dpi) – NOT big enough to be enlarged like that!
He should’ve contacted me and I’d sent him the high res file!

Anyway.
Very weird.

And sort of satisfying.

Regretfully Blears…

June 12, 2009

Good grief.
Hazel Blears on TV talking about her regrets.
She regrets enormously apparently, her rather good “YouTube if you want to” article in the Observer.
She regrets the timing of her resignation, and effectively takes the blame for Labours appalling election results.

It’s unpleasant viewing.
She looks like someone who’s been bullied into submission.
But then again, that’s a rather common look among people who at some stage has crossed Gordon Brown and his crew…

Gordo’s chief enforcer Nick Brown, has been dispatched to flush out Labour rebels. He has started by naming plotters he reckons are involved in drawing up a letter calling for the PM to resign.
If the names on his list weren’t involved before, and it seems by some of the firm denials like some of them weren’t, they most certainly are now! Way to go!
